Thank you very much indeed for arranging our trip to Morocco. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Driss, our driver, was excellent. He was always punctual, and a great ambassador for his country. Ian is a keen photographer, and Driss made a point of stopping at particularly good viewpoints so Ian could take photographs. Driss found some excellent restaurants for us for lunch. My plan to skip lunch went out of the window when I discovered how much I liked Moroccan food.
Everything as superbly organized, all the riads were welcoming and architectural gems, and we were treated to some wonderful meals. I have put together a gallery of photos from the trip on my website, and invite you to have a look.
Things that we particularly liked about the trip were:
– The camp in the Sahara Desert. So beautiful at night, and a really luxurious tent.
– L’Ma Lodge. Very unexpected oasis, with exceptionally good homemade food. I think they had about 10 different homemade jams and preserves for breakfast!
– Riad Le Clos des Arts in Marrakesh. Very welcoming host, and excellent food.
– Riad Kalaa in Rabat – Gorgeous bathroom in our room. Also excellent food.
The food at our last two riads was so good that if we ever did the trip again we’d be perfectly happy eating there two nights in a row.
One thing that I discovered on my own in Fes that I thoroughly enjoyed and might be worth considering for your guests was a bread making class at the Ruined Garden in the medina. It was very well taught, and great fun.
Ian and I had a wonderful time in Morocco. Thank you again for organizing the trip.
Anne & Ian.
