The highlight of our trip are camel ride and night in the desert. Also was charmed by Rissani where I bought a beautiful rug that I gave to my daughter who loves it. Marrakesh is wonderful as well, the juxtaposition of very old and very new makes the city interesting and vibrant.
Ryad [our driver] was at all times professional and punctual. A sense of humor, friendliness and willingness to meet our requests made our time with him the most pleasant experience. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Morocco.
I loved Riad Myra in Fez. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more eager to please (particularly Abraham) and the central courtyard where people gathered to eat made it feel like home after a long day in the Medina. We also liked Riad Kniza in Marrakech.
All accommodations were luxurious and exotic. The hotel in Chequi was beautiful and we were upgraded to a huge suite, but after staying in the riads, it wasn’t as interesting and was mostly filled with large busloads of tourist groups. The L’Ma Lodge was wonderful, particularly the dining room. The staff there also made us feel very much at home, treating us like old friends.
This was a great trip, not only for the riads, Ryad and the country itself, but because of the daily guides. I particularly liked Abdel at Villobilus and Abraham (Ibrihim?) in Rissani (forgive my phonetic spelling of the names), but enjoyed meeting and spending time with all of the guides, each of whom was filled with opinions, personalities and enthusiasm and willing to share their own stories with us. I felt very well-informed and well taken care of.
I would recommend Experience It Tours without any hesitation.
