Some highlights from our time in Morocco was spending a day in Fes. We really loved wandering through the ancient medina, getting lost in its maze of narrow streets filled with colorful shops, artisans and local markets. We also really loved ATV’ing across the dunes in the Sahara Desert. Taking in the landscape made for an incredible adventure. Additionally, Riad Madu and L’ama Lodge were just amazing.
Our driver, Achraf, was incredible. From the moment he picked us up at the airport, he was friendly, personable, responsive, and exceptionally knowledgeable. Throughout the trip, he spent countless hours answering our many questions about Moroccan history, culture, and daily life, enriching our experience far beyond what we could have learned on our own. We also especially appreciated getting to know him on a personal level. Achraf played a vital role in making our trip such a success, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone traveling to Morocco. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for his guests made a lasting impression on us.

Some additionally feedback – We found the food and overall dining experience at local restaurants to be consistently better and more authentic than dining in the Riads. On the two occasions we ate dinner at our Riads, we were the only guests dining, which created a somewhat awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere. We would definitely recommend eating local than at the Riads.
