I certainly would recommend this experience to others. How could we ever have found a Moroccan trip to coincide with the ship embarking in Lisbon on April 21 and starting our, Experience It Tours the same day in Morocco.
Our driver, Driss Affane AJI, was superb, very accommodating, always with a “Yes Madam”, and a very careful and cautious driver.
In Casablanca at the end of a long day, Driss drove us to Rick’s Cafe were we had a great American dinner. Several hours later my brother called him, and he returned to drive us back to the La Royal Mansour Meridien.
Highlights:
Volubilis – good timing to see the sun set and not many tourists,
Deluxe Tent in Erfoud. and it was Deluxe, excellent dinner and breakfast an dcamel ride into the Merzouga dunes toward Algeria.
The two Riads, Riad Jaouhara (quite a hike to get to our rooms on the fifth floor, but desk manager very helpful. Riad Yasmine – excellent dinner, chicken kabobs and Moroccan salads were cooked for us. Liked the location, right in the hustle and bussel of Marrakech daily life. Hotel Majliss, average. Would have preferred a Riad.
You may want to consider changing the Medina restaurant in Fez. Quite expensive.
More time to explore areas by self, although this was a packed itinerary.
