Which tour did you take? 16 Day Morocco Tour
What was the highlight(s) of your trip? The highlights of our trip included camel riding, touring the cities, the food, and hiking around Chefchaouen. We enjoyed the pool in Bin El Ouidane and we took an hour long boat ride on the lake that was wonderful. We were fascinated by the Volubilis Roman ruins.
Are there any places/activities that you’d advise leaving out in the future? Why? We feel we could have taken a day off our time in Chefchaouen. Two nights would be the maximum time needed to tour there. Also, while we enjoyed the relaxing time in Bin El Ouidane, some people may not find it necessary to go there. It was beautiful, but it was a long drive to go there and there really wasn’t any history to explore or learn about.
Would you recommend Experience It Tours? Absolutely! Without any hesitation.
Any comments about your driver: Majid became our friend during our time in Morocco. Not only was he knowledgeable about everything, he was funny and kind and he was an amazing driver through some of the craziest traffic we have ever seen! He took us to a private home in Chefchaouen for dinner and it was one of the best meals we had. The other delicious meal was at the Saveur De Poisson in Tangier. He wisely advised us to skip lunch so we would be really hungry for this meal and he was right!
What did you think of the accommodations on this tour? Excellent.
Please list your favourite accommodations on the trip. Our favorite accommodation was the Riad Myra in Fez. It was absolutely beautiful and the staff there was amazing. We had so much fun with Ibraham. We also enjoyed ALL the rooftop terraces, especially in Tangier. The view of the ocean was spectacular.
Please specify if there were some hotels/riads you were not happy with and why: The only negative experience we had with a hotel was in the Hotel Onomo in Casablanca on our last night before flying out. The staff told us the air conditioning was working, but it never cooled below 82 degrees overnight.
Any other comments you want to share: If possible, it might be best to advise clients to depart from the last city they visit. For us, the five hour drive back to Casablanca from Tangier felt like a bit of a wasted day, although Majid took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. We had a fabulous time in Morocco! Thank you for everything you did to make our trip so special.
