We had a great trip in Morocco! It exceeded all our expectation in many ways. Here are some of the highlights for us :
The best part of our trip was our driver, Driss. He took perfect care of us. We felt totally safe with him. A very polite person, spoke perfect English, shared his extensive knowledge of all the sites, a calm person, did not talk excessively, excellent driver. Did I say….he is a very nice person. We enjoyed his company immensely.
– We loved Fez, the Medina, the beautiful riad, Driss was our guide which was perfect. Fez seemed less touristy than Marrakech but maybe because our visit was not on a weekend and it does not have a major airport. We were amazed by how much we learned about Morocco and specifically Fez.
-The food in Morocco is delicious but a lot! Many memorable meals .
-Okay ….loved being in the Sahara. Beautiful riad. (No alcohol was a surprise but not a problem.) Enjoyed our camel ride at the end of the day. Lovely dome accommodations. (Not a typical Berber tent as described in brochure). Great star gazing after dark and waking up in the desert. Want to go back someday.
– Marrakech. Huge Medina, wonderfully busy. Great people watching, mostly tourists.
Our guide was very good, reiterating much of what we had learned in Fez but also introducing us to many facts relating to Islam and history of Morocco. Visit to the famous garden was astonishing.
– We so enjoyed the beautiful and varied drive through Morocco. The snow capped Atlas Mountains were a suprise. Loved the stops along the way.
– The overnight stay at the Casbah in Skoura was delightful. The grounds green and beautiful. The service perfect. The room exceptional. I taught the bar how to make an old fashion. Their first ever. Could’ve stayed longer !
– Visiting the Mosque in Casablanca was a highlight of or trip and a perfect ending.
– We both agree that we would love to do the whole trip again….if Driss was our driver.
We cannot say enough about Experience It Tours. Everyone was friendly and professional. The trip plan was perfect for us. Response to any issues was immediate. A very good value. We would definitely call on Experience It Tours to be plan another trip for us.
