“Enchanted by Morocco”

Jeanne O. Dunes

I’m writing to thank you and the Experience It! team for a most wonderful trip to Morocco.  I must say that I’m enchanted by Morocco.  I just returned to Hawaii and I’m ready to go back tomorrow!  The itinerary we planned was ambitious, covering a lot of territory in two weeks, but I don’t regret a minute of it.  Every place we visited from Chefchaouen to Essaouira had its own magical charm and one could not be appreciated as much without seeing the other.  Having said that, I think my favorite may be the desert and the ride through the Atlas Mountains.  The accommodations you booked for us were lovely and contributed much to our Moroccan experience (except perhaps for Hotel Majliss in Rabat that was booked at the last minute due to our early arrival to avoid the Air France strike).  Thank you so much.

I would be remiss if I did not mention our guide, Abdelkader Haddioui, and the driver, Abdulhak.  We think they’re the dream team!  Abdelkader is an outstanding guide, smart, knowledgeable and caring, an excellent representative of his beautiful country.  He did a terrific job accommodating the different needs within our group, not all wanting to go in the same direction every time.  Not an easy task and I’m not sure I could have been as patient and gracious as he was throughout the trip.  He made our trip the unforgettable happy experience that it was.  Abdulhak is not only a great driver but also contributed a sweet presence throughout the trip.  There was never a moment on the road when we felt unsafe or jeopardized.  We were very comfortable and relaxed with him at the wheel and were always happy to see him and be met with good cheer when we got on the bus.  We feel so lucky to have had Abdelkader and Abdulhak assigned to our tour. They took such good care of us and we are very grateful.

Hope your family had a good Eid al-Adha celebration.  I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet you while we were in Fes.  Maybe next time.  Thank you, again, for everything!
