If one asked for a rating of this tour, where 1 is the worst and 10 is the best, I would rate it an 11. Your staff and support were amazing.
As you know, Eileen experienced a significant injury soon after we landed in Casablanca. At that point we were strongly considering going home. When Hamid, our guide, showed up the next day, he immediately took charge and took Eileen to an emergency clinic where they treated her injury and assured us there are no long term issues. Hamid made it a positive experience, as he made sure Eileen was watched and assisted in all situations. This made it possible for Eileen and me to enjoy the tour. When Jill met us in Fez, we were still undecided if we should continue. Jill’s cheerful outlook, support, and thoughts on continuing the tour were so uplifting we had no further concerns. She put forth such a great attitude and assurance of our continued enjoyment that we knew we would have a great time. And WE DID!.
Fez was magical. The riad was a highlight of the experience. Hamid’s guided walk through the medina was at a wonderful pace and thoroughly enjoyable Of all the medinas it was truly the best/ the others paled in comparison.
I wish we could have extended our stay in Skoura. The Riad Ksar El Kabbaba was so restful and beautiful and the food was outstanding. We would have willingly added a day to the tour for another night at this Riad. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy Marrakesh like we should have; however, we really appreciated the change Jill made to our hotel. Surprisingly, Rick’s restaurant in Casa Blanca was a wonderful experience. The food and service were exceptional, far better than we thought a tourist restaurant would be.
Eileen and I could not have been more pleased with the kindness and courtesies your entire organization provided us. Please extend to all of the organization and our guides our greatest thanks and admiration.
Please tell Jill we greatly appreciated the visit she made to us in Fes. At that time, we were still considering heading home and she made us feel upbeat and positive about the remainder of our trip. Also, switching our accommodation was a wonderful idea. The Marrakesh medina was wonderful, but I do not believe either of us could have navigated it at night. Yes, Jill, the breakfast at 2 Ciels was the best (although, the hot food was cold), but equally interesting is their restaurant. Part of it has a cut glass mirrored ceiling, it is an interesting experience looking up to see yourself looking back down while eating. (and here, I thought mirrors on the ceiling were only for cheap motels) The floor is patterned in black and white tile – at least nine different patterns.
Eileen has mended well. No more back aches and the cut on her arm has healed nicely.
