“Browns To Reds To Greens!”

“Classic Morocco” is the tour we took. The number one highlight of the trip was experiencing the Jewish history; we did not expect to see and read of the rich and lengthy history of the Jewish people in Morocco or how the Moroccan people embrace their Jewish history. Close second are the following:

The Sahara desert (the orange sand dunes and mountains and flats of black rocks) because it was unlike anything we have experienced (inclusive of the night stay at Marhaba Desert Luxury Camp).

The Lake Marzouga; we did not expect to see flamingos in the desert of Morocco. The taste of a fresh Marjoul date, sweet, meaty, and juicy; it was delicious.

The scenery as we drove through the country, from dry desert to lush oasis and flats to mountains, from browns to reds to greens. All the activities were valuable.

It was our first trip with a driver and Toufik, our driver was excellent. When we first arrived, we were escorted to our clean, new, large van waiting to take us our journey.

I sat upfront so that I could photograph our trip with the window rolled down and my wife had the full second row seat to get clear views out the front and side windows.

Toufik was very attentive; he took good care of us, he was always available, played interference with the locals trying to sell us stuff, he looked out for us and our interests. Toufik personalized our tour with local restaurants and guides who were knowledgeable, personable, and introduced us to more local restaurants.

He introduced us to his family and friends from which we got a more authentic feel for the country. He took us to his favorite local shops to purchase Argon oil, rose water, fossils, Majool dates, carpets (we kept a box in the van and enjoyed them on the trip). The shop owners were warm, friendly, and accommodating.

The accommodations on the trip were all perfect for us; the staff at all the accommodations were warm, friendly, and helpful. The food and hotel restaurants were all very good with honorable mention to La Maison Arabe and second place to Kasar El Kababah. The highlight was the La Maison Arabe in Marrakech. The international restaurant was excellent and the deluxe garden suite was wonderful and location (a short walk to the Medina).

We would definitely recommend Experience It Tours without any hesitation to anyone.
