This email has been a little late in coming but I just wanted to express how immensely I enjoyed my trip to Morocco. It was an experience, which in many ways, is beyond words. There were so many places, so many people, that Ilse and I came across that we will never forget. Morocco really is a land of contrasts and constant surprises!
I feel we owe your company many accolades for the smooth running of the trip, the seamless organization of hotels/riads and the expertise of all our guides. The guides in Fes (Khalid) and Marrakech (Nouredinne) were fountains of knowledge, always gracious and so accommodating of any questions and queries.
Our driver, Driss, was an absolute gem and looked after us like his own. He was always respectful, modest, knowledgeable, patient, intuitive and generous. Indeed he is a credit to Experience It tours and the next time I travel to Morocco (yes there are plans already!), I hope to be able to meet him again.
Fes was by far my favourite place – how lucky to be able to live there! We did pop into the tour office to say hi and met John, but just missed you I think. The standout experience for me was the night in the Sahara. It was sheer bliss eating a chicken/veg tagine dinner under a full moon, clear sky with our camels “parked” right outside the tent! I slept like a baby under the Berber blankets that night.
Riad Jaohara was a favourite and I am so glad we were there for 3 nights. La Perle Dades was a little odd given the completely open bathroom/room configuration especially for travellers who are just friends – but that was for just one night anyway.
Thanks again Aaron for all your help and advice with the itinerary. There will no hesitation on my part to recommend Experience It if any of my friends/family intend on travelling to Morocco.
