What was the highlight of our trip?… Hard to say! loved everything, but I would have loved more time in the desert. Our driver Hassani spoke excellent English and was excellently knowledgeable. The accommodations were also excellent. Our favorite accommodations were KSAR EL KABBABA, RIAD THE REPOS, RIAD BOUSSA.
I would be very interested if you keep me posted of the other destinations you have/add because I loved your services!
The highlight of our trip was experiencing the people, including Ilyass our driver/guide, the local guides, and all of the people that we interacted with in the riads, the restaurants, the shops, and the medinas. The other highlight was experiencing the breath of the Moroccan environment and our surprise at the fertileness of the land.
We hit it off with Ilyass immediately and he was more like a friend than a guide/driver. He spoke very highly of Experience-It and he also represented it very well. Ilyass was a most remarkable companion. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, incredibly competent, kind, fun, and a joy to be with. He felt more like a friend than a hired driver/guide. If someone picked him out specifically for us, then great job. If it was just the luck of the draw then I need to play the lottery when we get home!
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you on behalf of my friends and I for the time, effort and detail that went into planning our Morocco trip!
The trip was nothing short of amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. Your team did an amazing job in planning every detail of this trip. We feel like we saw so much of Morocco in such a short period of time, and although it was very action packed it was also very relaxing and enjoyable. The places we visited, our accommodations, our excursions and our driver were perfect. We loved how our tour felt so customized and suited to our interests.
My husband and I just returned from an outstanding Fabulous Fortnight Tour in Morocco! From start to finish, we could not have asked for a better vacation! We loved the history and culture, the sights and colors of the medina, the food and tradition, our overnight stay in the desert…and our Riad stays most certainly added an authenticity to our travel.
Our driver, Youssef, was exceptional in every way. He was energetic & personable, extremely knowledgeable, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a truly Moroccan experience. He made sure that everything went smoothly every step of the way. Youssef knew that I am an avid photographer and was always prepared to stop along the way when a photo opportunity would arise. One afternoon a scene that I had visualized photographing did present itself. I had wanted to photograph a working donkey in the countryside and the perfect scenario arose…we stopped and asked if we could take pictures…and I think Youssef had as much fun chatting with the patriarch of the family as I had photographing him and the family farm work in progress! We all left with big smiles on our faces!
I can’t rave enough what a great experience we had from start to finish! All four of us agreed that the trip exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Experience It! I hope I have the opportunity to work with your company again. I would have no hesitation to do so or recommend you to friends and family. I’m happy to write a review on whatever venue is best for you.
Highlights? Well, everything deserves a mention for that! First and foremost, Driss, [our driver], was key in making this an exceptional trip. His language skills and openness gave us confidence that we were in good hands.
We took “Customized fabulous fortnight – 17 night tour”. The highlights of our tour are Chefchaouen, the Fez medina, glamping in the Sahara, hiking in Ourika, visiting kasbahs, Essauoira, staying in Riads. We loved having dinner at the Riad the first night of each arrival. Our guides in the individual towns were incredibly informative and personable especially Abdul in Chefchaouen and Mohammed in Marrakesh.
Hamid [our driver] was the BEST. His knowledge of the country and English were excellent. He paid attention to what we wanted and then made changes to accommodate our wishes. We did NOT want to eat lunch where the tour buses ate and he found alternate restaurants where locals ate that were clean and safe to eat at. We did NOT want to visit Ait Benhaddou and took us to an alternate Kasbah which we loved. He was an extremely cautious and safe driver. He noticed my husband preferred water with gas and had that in the car each day.
In a nutshell, the Morocco tour was a 10 out of 10. The combination of the cost and quality of the accomodations/guides/food/sites visited, etc., was a good value. Would we take the tour again? Absolutely.
We enjoyed the Riads. All were better than expected. We would never have found consistent accommodations of this quality on our own. Perhaps the best accommodation was the desert tent. That was amazing, hot and cold running water and a great bed in the middle of nowhere!
We enjoyed everything. There was not a lot of downtime/relaxing. That’s nice as we can relax at home. We came to see Morocco and felt like we received a representative sample of many aspects of the country.
Chefchaouen was our favorite place, but we loved seeing all the medina’s and getting lost. We also loved the Moroccan food, those tangines are wonderful and oh, the olives! Our guide, Jamal, was wonderful, and played a large part in making the trip a great experience.
We loved our driver/guide Jamal. He was incredibly helpful, his English was excellent, very informative and resolved the only hiccup we had during the trip quickly and in a very satisfactory way. I would highly recommend him to anyone who comes to Morocco, he played a huge role in making our trip wonderful.
I loved Morocco!
Some of my favorites: The camel ride in the desert and viewing the stars at 4am in the unbelievable sky, the tour of the gigantic Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, the riad in Rabat was lovely, Chefchaouen…all of it …where we stayed and what we did, carpet buying in Fes, the gorgeous oasis we stayed at in Skoura, the drive over the mountains to Marrakech, Essaouira was wonderful, the excellent food all over (olives/dates/breads/yogurt/ tajine/harira/ couscous/the amazing mint tea/ prickly pear cactus fruit!!), the fossils, I really liked the Yves St. Laurent Musee and Jardin who knew?? I love call to prayer and now miss it, the arts and crafts… beautiful pottery / jewelry /lots of wood items and furniture that I didn’t know about before, and the MOSAICS everywhere!
Highlights of our tour:
Fes: We Loved the medina in Fes and really enjoyed the dyeing vats. We stood out on the veranda over the vats for a very long time just watching the process. It was so interesting.
Desert: The camel ride and the camp was great. Our camel guide was wonderful and added to our enjoyment. The camp was very nice but it would have been nicer if the other guests spoke English, they all spoke Spanish. It was wonderful anyway.
