Day 1: Arrive Tripoli
Arrive at Tripoli International Airport and transfer to your hotel, and short visit to Marcus Aurelus Arch, Modern Medina including the Handicraft Market. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant this evening.
Day 2: Tripoli
Visit the Tripoli’s Museum; the museum shows monuments of civilisations that inhabited Libya by Germants, Roman, Greek, and Phoenician & Islamic. Our Local guide will accompany you & to Enjoy listening to the interesting & a brief explanation about the ancient civilization. Our Second point of the city sightseeing tour is visiting the Karamanli House; it was built in the 2nd half of the 18th century A.D by Yusuf Karamanli.
Day 3: Tripoli – Leptis Magna – Benghazi
After breakfast, you will have a visit to the magnificent Leptis Magna. You will have a full day of sight seeing before catching an evening light to Benghazi. Dinner will be served in Benghazi
Day 4: Benghazi
Full day sightseeing to explore the Commonwealth Cemetery, Greek ruins in Cyrene and the Roman ruins along the coast.
Day 5: Benghazi – Susah (Al Jabal al Akhdar)
Drive to (Susah-222 Km.) via Touckra & Tolmetha & Qaser Libya visits the sites & the museum, overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Al Jabal al Akhdar
Visit Ancient town of Cyrenaica and harbour of Cyrene, 18 km & most of what the site contains belongs to the Byzantine era (from 5th to 6th century AD) when Apollonia was known as the “City of Churches” Also, It was the birthplace of the Greek geographer and mathematician Eratosthenes. It had five basilicas and 19 towers.
Afternoon excursion will be the ancient Greek city of Cyrene, which locates at 222 Km eastern Benghazi; it was the oldest and most important of the five Greek cities in the region and gave eastern Libya the classical name ‘Cyrenaica’. One of its more significant features is the Temple of Apollo, which was originally constructed as early as 7th century BC. Other ancient structures include a Temple to Demeter and a partially unexcavated Temple to Zeus. There is a large necropolis approximately 10 km between Cyrene and its ancient port of Apollonia.
Day 7: Benghazi-Tripoli
Drive back to Benghazi via Slunta Site, flight to Tripoli, overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Tripoli – Departure
At leisure until we transfer to the airport for a safe flight back home.
