“Our Experiences in Morocco were Awesome”

Our experiences in Morocco were awesome…we could not have asked for anything better and have come away with precious memories and a new awareness of a stunning country of extreme contrasts in landscape, beautiful warm hospitable peoples, whatever their circumstances, a culture and customs of magnitude, dating back in time, which we could never have imagined, all made possible due to our driver, companion and now friend; Namir.

“Very Impressed”

Where do I begin, every single thing was perfect not one single complaint.

{Highlights} Definitely Chefchaouen, I always figured Morocco was a beautiful country which is why I wanted to visit to begin with, but nothing prepared me for the magnificence of it’s beauty.  I underestimated how beautiful it was, The Sahara desert was also spectacular but freezing at night, we literally survived a night in the desert in brutal winter conditions, but it was well worth it.

We could not have been paired with a more perfect driver/companion than Khalid, he fits well with our family, he was more of a friend traveling with us than our driver/guide he was truly amazing, he went above and beyond his duties to make sure we had a good time, we will be his friends forever.

“Amazing on ALL levels!”

I wanted to take a moment to write you all. I cannot tell you how wonderful the trip was. It was amazing on all levels! I enjoyed everything about Morocco and look forward to going back someday. Your company does a wonderful job of showcasing all that is best in Morocco including the people.

“Everything we hoped it would be!”

We really enjoyed our trip to Morocco. This tour was everything we hoped it would be. Jamal did a wonderful job, as he not only was quite knowledgeable about Morocco and was able to communicate that knowledge to us, he was also quite patient, responsive, and attentive to the requests and needs of us. The itinerary was also perfect – it really gave us an authentic feel for Morocco and I enjoyed the drive in the mountains, visiting Volubilis and small towns along the way. Chloe was very happy to see Islamic architectures and beautiful artifacts as she took a lot of photos and bought many crafts herself. The tour guides in Volubilis and Marrakesh/Fes Medina were all good.

“Vacation of a LIFETIME!”

It was great to meet you {Aaron} and the team in Fez.  You all did a tremendous job. Our trip was fantastic, no issues, no complaints, it exceeded our expectations on all levels.  This was mostly due to our being lucky enough to be paired with Namir!

This was our first time taking any kind of tour.  Typically we do everything ourselves, and in Europe/Mexico it always worked out well.  When deciding on Morocco we had a recommendation from a couple we met at JFK, and after talking to EIT we felt confident we were with the right company.

“Absolutely Amazing!”

jenn-w-soliderMorocco was absolutely amazing!

Both our driver and our accommodations were fantastic.  Your company service was great and very responsive.  I would definitely recommend your service to friends who are interested in taking a trip to Morocco.

Please see below for some of the highlights of the trip and feedback from me.

“Trip of a lifetime!”

Just finished our trip to Morocco and had to let you know what a great experience it was.  Your country is beautiful and The trip was very well planned.  We enjoyed all the cities and the Riads were lovely. The highlight of our trip would have to be our driver Mohamed    He was soo informed about his country and his love for it showed in every word he spoke.  After two days I can honestly say we became friends.  We were excited to be greeted by him each morning and start on a new adventure!  Our conversations were interesting and informative and the hours in the car flew by.  He went above and beyond on so many occasions.  When we had our son with us the first part of our trip , he conversed in Arabic with him and they became fast friends.  When we had a glitch in getting Max back to school, Mohamed set up transportation.  He calmed me down when we drove thru a sandstorm and actually went into the dessert with us because rain was coming and he was able to switch us out of the tents.  He took us to our sons university in Ifrane and was sure to let Max know if he ever needed anything he could call.

Stress Free Trip

Once again the whole trip went beautifully well and spending time with Driss {our driver} was just wonderful.

It was lovely meeting you and the team in your office and the personal, friendly and highly efficient way in which your company operates was very evident in every aspect of the trip. I can assure you that I will recommend you to anyone who is thinking of traveling to Morocco and I will certainly be looking at some of your other tours in the future! I think that one of the highlights of the trip for me was meeting Abdul (in Fes) again; what a wonderful, wonderful man and the two meals that he cooked for us in the riad were beyond delicious!! Even though I had done the trip before, it was lovely to see familiar places again and to experience new things too. Australian does not have a culture of ‘tipping’ so that became a bit tiresome by the end of the trip, but I understand the cultural/social need to do so in Morocco. Other than that I loved everything!!

Thank you again to you, Ruth and the team for making our trip so stress free, it has been a pleasure being one of your customers and I hope to do business with you again.

Until then….

Best wishes

Ilse

“Amazing tour from beginning to end!”

We loved everything! The tour guides were great- especially in the Fes medina, The camel ride and stay in the luxury desert camp was amazing. The visits with the Berber families will live in my heart forever. Thank you for planning such an amazing tour from beginning to end.

Our trip was amazing because of our driver. He went the extra step every time to take good care of us and to share the love he has for his country. I got sick in the desert and he found me a doctor and got me on the mend quickly. He shared his Berber heritage and took us behind the scenes to meet berber families. I asked him to take us to a women’s coop and he knew just the right place. He even helped us make arrangements for a cooking class in Marrakesh and gave us ideas for other things to do. We loved Jamal.

We really loved all the Riads. Our favorite was L’Ma Lodge and Riad Chergui. The owner at Chergui was so wonderful. We ended up booking our daughter there when she came to Marrakech.

I don’t usually use tour companies but…

I would like to join Bill in thanking you for the extraordinary travel experience of your Fabulous Fortnight Moroccan tour. Our tour was fantastic. Morocco is  a land of beauty and wonder and our stay was all too brief . There is so much history, so much culture, so many landscapes, and so much amazing food that every day was a new adventure.

I particularly want to acknowledge our driver and guide, Youssef Maamri, who was the main reason our trip was so wonderful. He knows and loves his country: it’s history,  people,  religion, food, souks, towns and cities; he brought all of this to us with great enthusiasm. He made us feel welcomed and safe

I don’t usually use tour companies when I travel because I have found them informational but indifferent. During a four week tour of China  our guide spoke competently. I learned a lot about China’s history and legacy…… but I never met a single  Chinese individual. It was much like watching a travel documentary rather than participating. Of course, language created barriers, but our guide made no effort to bridge that problem.

Your Moroccan tour was  completely opposite. The Riad stays were welcoming as well as beautiful, like exotic B&B’s. Meeting Massimo, owner of the Riad Le Clos des Arts in Marrakech, was a joy of conversation and philosophy, a remarkably interesting man. The desert/camel  experince was so much fun; Bill joined in a drumming session with the Berber players, and the tent accommodation was much more luxurious than any rough camping I’ve ever done. Our tangine cooking class and trip to the spice market was wonderful, as was meeting Allison, Moona, and Mohammed.  This would be a long letter indeed to relate all the wonderful moments of our trip.

But I must repeat what an important part of our experience was Youssef.   Bill and I offered him some difficult challenges given our two opposite physical abilities. I can still run up hills walk for hours, whereas Bill struggles to do that. Youssef was always aware and  balanced that situation with more skill and kindness than I would have thought possible. On one occasion, his friend, a rug merchant shared a spontaneous lunch among us, which his wife prepared. As we ate he and Youssef explained to Bill and me the imam’s noontime lesson. I loved it. I loved meeting the old woman at the desert well, climbing deep down the tunnels with her and Youssef. I loved meeting a Kasbah home and family, having tea, cookies and dates with them.

More than all the mosques, kasbahs,  tangines, souks, and riads, the greatest part of this trip was seeing Morocco and its people through the eyes of a man who loves his country deeply and wants  to share that love with others.   He said we are friends for life – I agree.

Thank you once again we the experience of a lifetime
